Installation

Andrews Computer Services Ltd offer a complete installation service for computer hardware, software and network equipment. Hardware includes servers, desktops and network infrastructure such as switches, routers and hubs. We also provide installation services for internet connectivity, firewalls & remote connectivity such as virtual private networks.

All installations are carried out by our own trained engineers to ensure that we can retain control over the standard of the installation

Prior to installation, we will discuss with you your requirements to ensure that the new system will best meet these and if necessary we will carry out a site survey. A detailed quotation or time estimate will be provided before work commences. Where applicable the necessary products will be sourced and a suitable time arranged for your installation.

The installation of new computer equipment if not done sensitively can be quite disruptive, but we make every effort to minimise this and will perform major works such as server upgrades outside of your normal business hours if requested.

After the installation is complete you will have the benefit of 30 days unlimited support at no additional charge on the new system. We also offer a full range of post sales support, from training trough telephone and remote access support to full or part time on-site technical support.

Network design

If you are moving to new premises or opening a new office our engineers can carry out a site survey and assist you with the design of your IT infrastructure.

Providing you with network diagrams and office plans, assist you with the layout and floor plans to ensure each work station has sufficient light and power sockets and that staff will have sufficient space, whilst maximising the available work space.

We can organise installation of phone lines and ADSL circuits, advise you on how long this will take and assist you the logistics involved with moving. We can assist you with moving your IT equipment and servers.

All this can be carried out over a weekend (charged at out of hours rates) so that you can have your new office ready, then over the weekend move everything from the old place to the new place with PC’s on desks ready for the staff to start work on the Monday morning.

Network Cabling

In addition to designing the network and supplying the equipment our engineers can also install network cabling to CAT 5 standards, install cabinets, patch panels and a full range of network switches, KVM (Keyboard Video, Monitor) units to allow 1 screen keyboard and mouse can be used for multiple servers keeping the server area tidy and organised. We can supply colour coded patch leads for inside the cabinet and a range of drop cables from the wall socket to the desk.

Every installation is unique; therefore costs are based on customer’s individual requirements.
